Chance for Attendees to Learn About Recent Initiatives for Individuals

Newly Diagnosed With Autism Along With Best Practices in Transitioning

(Walpole – September 27, 2016) – On Monday, October 3rd, from 6:30-8:30 PM, League School of Greater Boston will be holding an educational seminar at the school at 300 Boston Providence Highway (Route 1) in Walpole.

There will be two presentations that evening, The first, Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Initiatives for Newly Eligible Individuals Diagnosed With Autism, will be delivered by Maria Stefano, Autism Program Coordinator; DDS Metro Region, and Kristen O’Melia, DDS Regional Director of Intake and Eligibility.

The second presentation, entitled A Model of Best Practices in Transition Education, will be given by Bill Mulcahy, Assistant Principal at League School.

The school believes that SPED instructors, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech & language pathologists, psychologists, BCBAs, elementary and preschool teachers, MDs, RNs, mental health professionals and parents would all greatly benefit by attending this session.
