League Consultation Services
The League School for Autism collaborates with and consults to a wide range of professional organizations, educational programs, and community agencies to provide neurodiversity-affirming practices that support autistic individuals. Our consultation services are dedicated to assisting organizations and programs in creating cultures and environments that promote acceptance and empowerment through person-centered, evidence-based, and developmentally-grounded approaches.
With more than 60 years of experience educating individuals with autism, League School has developed a multidisciplinary team of professional staff with a wide range of clinical and educational expertise. Our multidisciplinary team focuses on practices that encourage growth across a variety of settings, guided by a holistic view of the person and environment.
Team members consult in a coordinated and targeted fashion, and include the following professionals:
- Educators
- Speech-Language Pathologists
- Occupational Therapists
- Board Certified Behavior Analysts
- Clinical Social Workers
- Vocational and Career Service Providers
Consultations to Schools
School districts, charter schools, collaborative programs, and private schools are tasked with the difficult task of meeting the diverse and unique needs of neurodiverse individuals with complex academic, social, emotional, communication, and behavioral needs.
League School’s Consultation Services Team can assist with:
- Consultation by age group, classroom, program, or system
- Program assessment and strategic goal development
- Principles and implementation of the SCERTS® Model (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, Transactional Support)
- IEP development including student-centered, neurodiversity affirming goals, accommodations, and progress monitoring
- Educational program design
- Assistance in planning for transition to adult life and the workforce
