Successful League School Bike-A-Thon Surpasses Fundraising Goal
The League School’s annual #LEAGUESTRONG Bike-A-Thon was a tremendous success this year, surpassing the school’s fundraising goal and featuring riders across all three days.
In total, the Bike-A-Thon raised more than $10,600 for the school.
The League School thanks all those who supported the three-day event, including those who donated and took part in rides. Thanks as well to The Vanderbilt Club and the Old Colony YMCA-Stoughton branch for hosting classes, and Castle Island Brewing Co. for hosting the Friday-night after party.
Highlights from the weekend included:
- A full team packed the Friday, March 31 spin class at The Vanderbilt Club Spin Room in Norwood.
- Riders took part in both Peloton classes on Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2.
- Teacher Assistant Taylor Freeman and Music Teacher Allie Young were the top fundraisers among League School staff, each raising more than $1,000.
- The Transitions team was the top fundraising team, and will receive a pizza party.
Sponsors for the event included Direct Federal Credit Union, O’LYN Roofing, Middlesex Savings Bank, Dedham Savings, McDonald’s and the Christopher Catanese Children’s Foundation.
League School hosts several events and fundraisers throughout the year. Our next event is the 10th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Autism, to be held on Saturday, May 13 at the school.
