School Community Delighted to Finally Honor the Retired Executive Director After a Two-Year Delay
Join Us in Celebrating Frank Gagliardi on Thursday, May 5
After a two-year delay, the League School community finally has the chance to honor retired Executive Director, Frank Gagliardi. Join us on Thursday, May 5, at the Walpole Country Club in Walpole to honor Frank and his 12-year service to the League School’s mission of helping students with Autism develop to their fullest potential. “This event is long overdue,” said Tim McCabe, Director of Development. “Frank had such a huge impact on League School, and it’s important that we recognize that as well as his decades of work in the field of special education.”
“The Director’s award recognizes individuals and organizations who willingly provide their time, experience, and wisdom for the benefit of the school,” said Frank. “I am humbled to be considered for this award and am grateful to the Board for the support they provided me and the school. I am proud of the team of professionals who I worked with who made the program successful for all the students and their continued success in the workforce, continued education, or new living environment after graduation.”
The planning committee has put together what’s sure to be a memorable and enjoyable evening beginning at 6 PM:
- Cocktail Reception
- Buffet Dinner
- Tributes
“One of Frank’s noteworthy initiatives was to prepare the school for the future by expanding the school’s footprint and building two new residential homes on campus,” said board member and planning committee participant, Carol Magyar. “Frank’s strong leadership made the League School well-respected for its excellence in Autism education.”
“This is the type of send-off we wanted to give Frank before the onset of the pandemic,” said Tim. “After two long years, his friends, teachers, staff at League, and others in the community can all be there to thank Frank for his work on behalf of League School and our students.”
