Preparing for a Return to School

Although the League School doesn’t yet have a date for when we can return to the classrooms, planning for that day is underway. A group of key management, facilities, program coordinators, and business office staff have formed a “planning for reopening” committee. This group will establish scheduled temperature and symptom checks. They are determining the best way to make sure all staff and students follow best practices for hand washing and personal hygiene.

Another area the committee is evaluating is how to best redistribute activity space to spread students and staff out for social distancing. The gym and cafeteria are among the areas that are sure to be repurposed. “We’ll be putting new health protocols in place, reconfiguring spaces to maximize our ability to social distance, and finding new ways to provide an education while keeping everyone safe and well,” said Larry Sauer, Chief Operating Officer.
