Grants Help League School Make Progress on Major Priorities

Thank You to both the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation and DCU for Kids

Thanks to the generosity of Digital Federal Credit Union and the Flutie Foundation, the League School received two $10,000 grants, enabling us to make progress on some key projects:

The Digital Federal Credit Union’s DCU for Kids program funds support services, enrichment, development activities, mentoring and education programs for children in need. Their League School grant supported our acquisition of critical technology equipment needed for online learning. The Chromebooks are already in use, and the donation came at an important time for helping our students and families.

DCU for Kids has been a long time supporter of League School’s mission. In addition to helping fill our technology needs, they have also supported our health initiatives and the music program at League.

The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism awards grants to organizations that provide critical, innovative, and responsive services to people with autism and their families.

They announced the grant in support of our outdoor learning space project at their December Flutie Family Holiday Spectacular. The Flutie Foundation grant makes it possible to finish the pavilion part of our playground project. The 20 by 20 square foot structure will allow students to enjoy the outdoors and get out of the sun during the summer. More urgently, it will provide outdoor classroom space, which will bring joy to students and teachers alike.

Thank you to Digital Federal Credit Union and the Flutie Foundation for your support of the League School’s mission of helping our students develop to their fullest potential!
