5K for Autism Team Profile: Team Lockwood
Over the past three years, Team Lockwood has participated in our annual 5K Walk/Run for Autism. Their fundraising efforts are thanks to team leaders Roger and Sheila Lockwood.
For more than 20 years Roger has been committed to helping League School become a leading educational program for individuals and families facing the many challenges associated with life on the autism spectrum. As a grandfather of a child with autism, Roger’s goal has always been to ensure that students, families, and staff have the resources they need and, more importantly, feel supported.
Roger’s commitment to League School began as a member of our Board of Directors. Over time that role expanded to the President and now to Chairman. He has embraced his current role and has become a mentor for other Board members.
One of his most notable contributions is through Team Lockwood, a leading fundraiser for the annual 5K Walk/Run for Autism. Over the past three years Roger and Sheila have helped raise more than $50,000 through the event, and they are continuing that work again this year.
On Saturday, May 13th, Roger and Sheila will once again be walking on behalf of League School. Please consider helping them reach their goal and help our students continue to thrive!
