AUTISM EMPOWERMENT EVERYDAYIt's not just a day, week, or month. Autism Empowerment is EVERYDAY at League School for Autism.
STUDENT.STAFF.COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENTAs an appropriate ending to Autism Empowerment Month, our Director of Diversity & Community Inclusion, Lindsay Wagner, participated in a Massachusetts Association of Approved Private Schools (MAAPS) panel discussion at The New England Center for Children Inc. on the topic of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) in Communications. Lindsay shared our League School philosophy that "respect begins with language" and how we strive to use neurodiversity-affirming language that supports our students and respects their individuality. Listen to Respect Begins with Language from the Uniquely Human Podcast and consider shifting your language to some of these more affirming options. Thanks for making Autism Empowerment Month a spectacular series of unifying and supportive events!#AutismEmpowerment #studentempowerment #staffempowerment #communityempowerment #dei #diversityequityinclusion #uniquelyhuman #respectbeginswithlanguage #worldautismmonth2024 #worldautismmonth
