Newest Board Member Committed to Advancing School’s Wellness Programs
The League School of Greater Boston recently welcomed new member, Joseph C. Freeman, Partner at Manzo Freeman Development, to its Board of Directors. Joe is a partner with Mark Development and the Manzo Companies, which own and develop mill properties in the greater Boston area. As founder of the Freeman Firm, P.C., he has represented a variety of commercial real estate clients including South Shore Hospital, Cresset Partners, and Saracen Properties. Passionate about real estate conservation efforts, he owns conservation easement timber property. Joe received his JD from Boston College Law School and a BS in finance from the University of Colorado Business School.
“I believe that my real estate and legal expertise will help the League School with the development of the property that was recently acquired,” says Joe. “I am concerned about the lack of physical activity and general physical health of the school’s population, and am interested in developing athletics and adaptive activities for the school’s population.”
First introduced to the League School by David Foster, the Board’s President, Joe is also interested in the school’s community development programs. His daughter works for the residential program. “Joe Freeman is a wonderful addition to the League School of Greater Boston Board of Directors,” says fellow Board member, Dennis Kunian, Chairman of the Kunian Group, a strategic marketing and public relations firm. “He is a visionary who has the skillset to look at the big picture, while still understanding what it takes to reach goals that are set. I look forward to working with him on many different areas — especially fundraising initiatives.”
Joe joins 11 other members on the Board of Directors, which develops strategic and financial oversight, and advances the school’s mission of helping students with Autism develop to their fullest potential.
