League School for Autism

Founded in 1966, the League School for Autism has been empowering children and young adults with Autism for more than 50 years.

STUDENT EMPOWERMENTBuild. Learn. Create. A message that aligns perfectly with empowering our students with Autism. The Home Depot of Norwood came to visit and carry out their motto with the construction and painting of mini-potting benches by students. Through the hallways of League School, hammers could be heard pounding tacks into pre-fabricated bench pieces as staff went to investigate all of the excitement in the Auditorium. Students had a marvelous time building, learning and creating. Many thanks to the team from The Home Depot Norwood and Maureen Mosely, League School for Autism Vocational Manager, for making this activity possible.#AutismEmpowerment #buildlearncreate #StudentEmpowermentThe Home Depot ... STUDENT EMPOWERMENTAt League School for Autism, students are empowered with knowledge about the universe around them. Classroom 133 learned about the total solar eclipse in their reading class, then made solar eclipse toast during their cooking class with Marie. Special solar eclipse glasses were worn to safely view the eclipse outdoors. Students went on to finish their unit on Systems of Matter week and ended with a fun experiment making root beer floats to observe all 3 states of matter.#StudentEmpowerment #leagueschoolforautism #solareclipse2024 #mattermatters ...
