Trevor Harker
Senior Director of Educational Strategy
Trevor joined the League School for Autism in 2026 as the Senior Director of Educational Strategy. He brings more than 15 years of experience in special education and educational leadership across the state of Michigan, with expertise in autism programming, inclusive practices, systems leadership, and student centered program development. He began his career as a Special Education Teacher Consultant and Resource Room teacher before serving as a center-based teacher for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Most recently, he served as a Special Education Administrator supporting programming, compliance, staff development, and student services.
Trevor earned a Bachelor of Science in General Education with a specialization in Special Education, Emotional Impairment, and a Master’s degree in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Eastern Michigan University. He also earned an Education Specialist Certification in Leadership from Wayne State University.
Trevor’s leadership approach is rooted in relationship building, collaboration, and servant leadership. He believes strong schools are built through trust, visibility, and investing in people. He is known for creating supportive environments where staff feel valued and empowered to grow while maintaining a strong focus on student success. Trevor believes every student deserves opportunities to build meaningful independence through real life experiences and learning within natural environments.
