From the Desk of the Chief Executive Officer:
With the holiday season upon us, I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to each and every one of you. Thank you especially to our teachers and staff for their unwavering support of our students and each other. Together we have weathered a very difficult year at the school and in the wider community. We have been incredibly successful in keeping our students safe and healthy while maintaining a high-quality education whether in person or through distance learning. That is due, in large part, to the commitment and dedication of our entire team.
While it looks like there may be a light at the end of the tunnel in the next few months, we will remain vigilant and continue to follow the strict safety protocols and procedures that have guided our community since April.
I also want to thank those who have generously supported the school during this period. As we continue to face new challenges, your support provides the resources needed for our students to adapt to these adversities. Because of your donations, a new and appropriate outdoor learning space and the boundless possibilities it offers in helping our students, is closer to becoming a reality.
Returning to pre-pandemic life does not appear to be possible any time soon. However, we look forward to reconnecting with old friends during the new year. We are eager for our students to return to the community and resume their vocational training or participate in local activities. We will be excited to welcome visitors to the school to show off our campus and to let them see firsthand the impressive work being done by our students and staff.
While this holiday season will not be like any other, my wish is that it can be as fun and joyful as possible for all of you, your families, and all of those who are a part of your life. I hope you are able to connect with those closest to you in a way that is safe and secure.
Have a peaceful and healthy holiday,
Lawrence A. Sauer
