
Sandra A. Casey
Born and raised in Uganda, where she won accolades including a national chess championship and best mathematician at her high school, Sandra moved to the U.S. to attend MIT, graduating with dual majors in Chemical Biological Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering. After graduate studies conducting fuel cell research for the U.S. Department of Energy, she began a career in Software Engineering and Machine Learning.
Sandra is a former co-founder and CTO/CPO of a scientific automation startup, and is now the founder and CEO of Ugabot, an AI and automation software company serving small and medium-sized businesses. In addition to her work in tech, she is a passionate watch enthusiast and runs Uganda’s leading online retailer for authentic watches.
Sandra moved to Norwood to be close to her husband’s workplace, and now calls it her forever home. She is an active member of the Black Engineers Society, the Neponset River Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Charles River Chamber of Commerce. Having personally experienced the transformative impact of behavioral therapy, she strongly aligns with the mission of the League School for Autism and is honored to serve as an ambassador.
