League School of Greater Boston Appoints Larry Sauer as Its New COO
(WALPOLE, MA) – League School of Greater Boston, located in Walpole, MA, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lawrence (Larry) E. Sauer, M.A., M.S. as the school’s new Chief Operating Officer. Larry has been in the field of Special Education and Human Services for more than 30 years and has worked in private special education schools, human services organizations, and an educational collaborative. He has held a variety of administrative positions including Chief Program Officer, Vice President for Student Programs and Services, and Assistant Executive Director.
As Chief Operating Officer, Larry will provide leadership, management and vision to ensure that the school has the proper operational controls, administrative procedures, and staffing model, to maximize efficiency and carry out the school’s mission. He will direct the daily operations of all programs, including the day school, residential program, and vocational enterprises. Larry will work closely with the Executive Director, C.F.O., Human Resources Manager, and other school administrators, to develop strategies for business growth, marketing, and quality control across the entire organization.
Larry holds Master’s Degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Dayton and Human Services (Administration Concentration) from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He also holds a Massachusetts Administrator of Special Education license. He has served on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Association of Approved Private Schools (maaps). He served as President of maaps in 2013/14 and 2014/15. Larry lives in Stoughton.
